Word For Mac Indent Of Bulleted List
I recently upgraded from an old version of Microsoft Office for Mac (2008) to Microsoft Office for Mac 2016. (Sierra 10.12 on an early 2015 13inch Retina). I created a document in the older software, and have been working on that document in the newer version of the software for several hours.
Two Column Bulleted List Word
The document I am working on features a long, bulleted list with many levels of indentation. For several hours, I was able to tab-indent in my bulleted list with no trouble. However, and for no obvious reason, now, when I hit tab on any bullet in the list, Word places the 'next level' bullet (e.g., from a white circle to a black square) three bullet-indent-lengths over to the right in the document, and when I hit shift-tab to fix it, Word skips back to the most recent indent level.

If I hit shift-tab a second time, Word skips back up to a higher-level bullet (e.g. From a white circle to a black circle), but increases the indentation by a small amount, so the higher-level bullet design is nested inside the lower level design. For example, this is what I want to make: • Heading • Subheading • Another subheading And this is what Word gives me when I hit 'tab' the first time I would like to have my document reflect the standard nesting I provide in the first example above. Any advice on how to fix this bizarre non-standard indentation?
However, I am able to indent non-bullet point text. I am also able to indent a bullet point list if I put list in the default body text box (from the presentation master template). It is only if I manually insert a text box and try to do a list.
