Outlook For Mac Freezes When Copying Html Email Signature Site:answers.microsoft.com Average ratng: 3,3/5 8011 votes

Hi Rick, So, I just added the signatur to the mails and it seems to work fine. However, the signatur comes up as the last thing on the mail instead of being a 'signature' when you reply to an email. Is there a way of changing the hierarchy of when the signatur comes up? It really doesn't make sense it comes up as the last thing in the mail. Will Microsoft be opening for html signatures straight on the account, its really frustrating that we don't have the same flexibility on Mac as on PC when you pay for it? Please advise, hope this can be fixed.

Regards, Tomas. Hi Tomas, Can you share any screenshots on this “The signature comes up as the last thing on the mail instead of being a 'signature'? I’m wondering how you add an HTML signature file to Outlook for Mac. In general, we may open the.htm file in your browser and copy over the content in the Outlook 2016 signature GUI. Regarding “Will Microsoft be opening for html signatures straight on the account”, as a workaround, we are able to use transport rule to create an HTML signature for every Office 365 account in Exchange admin center. However, if you don’t like this way, it’s suggested you submit a feedback via this link:. Many features have been designed or upgraded based on our customers’ constructive comments.

Unfortunately, we can't do like this anymore with Mac 2016 version as signatures work like in Outlook for Windows: once a signature have been added, if you want to add one more, the first one added is replaced by the second one.

Regards, Rick. Hi Rick, Sorry for being a pain. Unfortunately my issue is still not solved. We only want to add a signature, so at first I tried to copy/paste the html file straight into outlook 365 - signatures (mac) but this ruins the html file and layout.

(On PC you are able to add the html file instead). So I wrote on here and you recommended using a rule in the exchange admin panel, creating a disclaimer where you can insert html text. So I did that and that worked fine and looks great, the issue is the hierarchy of the signatur as it comes at the very bottom. I would like the disclaimer (signatur) to be shown directly under the responses text, instead of having it inserted at the very bottom of the message. See the below image. I see you use mac, how did you create your signatur?, by copy/pasting? Hi Tjkp, Yes, I just copy that from an email which is sent from my Outlook for Windows.

When we use a transport rule to set up the signature, it will be appended to the message after sending it. That’s the reason why you reply to an email, the signature will be inserted at the very bottom of the message. To avoid multiple disclaimers being added in an email conversation, add an exception that looks for unique text in your disclaimer (You may use a phone number as a unique identifier). Rename categories outlook 2016.

Hi KAcph, Thanks for your reply. About 'I'm not sure what you mean ' we can see the signature on the recipient side via copying the content in the link' which link are you referring too? ', I'd like to clarify that the link is the signature template you provided in the private message.

Which browser are you using? You need check the content shows correctly on the browser at first step.

Also, change the browser to try again. Moreover, we need to be sure the signature is pasted in Outlook for Mac with “Keep Source Formatting”.
